- Baggage reclaim.
The first thing that you should do when you land at the Malaga airport is to disembark the aircraft and head to the luggage claim that is downstairs. This is specifically on the ground floor. The distance from the gate to the area where you will pick your luggage depends on your arrival gate. All you have to do is ask the staff to assist you with directions. If you have any disability then inform the crew beforehand and you will get some assistance. T.V monitors situated around the luggage hall will assist you to tell which belt you will find your bags on.
- Hiring a car at the airport.
The company you choose to hire a car from will determine where you pick it. If the company is situated within the airport then you will follow the right hand side slope that leads to their desks right after the arrivals hall. IF the company is off site then you will need to leave the airport vicinity to pick your car. Walk through the public arrival area and straight out of the doors to the street outside. If you are going for a short trip then you may choose to park your car a t the airport. There are 3 parking areas in the entire airport P1, P2 and general aviation. The parking slots for hired cars are on floors 1 and 2 of the P2 and floor 1 of the P1 areas. You can pay for parking at the machines using cash or a credit card.
- Shops and entertainment at Malaga Airport.
If you want to grab a quick bite then you can walk through terminal one to the cafes in terminal 2. There is also a large self-service cafeteria on the upstairs part of the terminal two area. You do not have to worry about shopping for duty free goods or last minute gifts. All you have to do is get from the arrivals area to the terminal 1 area where you will enjoy duty free shopping. The items range from fashion, jewelry to sports gear. There is a bar on the left hand side at the public arrivals hall.
